Participation in “Common Digital Space of the Nordic and Baltic States”, Vilnius
On May 18th, Flemming Stender, Director of Baltic Development Forum, participated in the international conference “Common Digital Space of the Nordic and Baltic States” in Vilnius organised by the Lithuanian Innovation and Technology Institute. The conference gathered representatives from government, international organizations, private companies and experts to discuss ideas for closer cooperation between the Nordic and Baltic countries, innovative government and private cross-border digital solutions, as well as funding schemes and programs.
In his presentation, Flemming Stender argued that a regional digital single market in the Baltic Sea Region would generate significant economic benefit to all countries in the Baltic Sea Region and could be achieved within a relative short-time span, if a stronger regional cooperation in ICT would be established.
